A new Irish pub is opening in Matthews this weekend – and just in time for St. Paddy’s Day!
Grace O’Malley’s will open it’s doors to the public for the first time at 10 a.m. on March 16, 2019. The pub is offering drink specials and music on Saturday and face painting, a balloon artist, a live bagpiper, and more music Sunday.
“Our complete grand opening is Thursday, March 21st beginning at 4:00 pm with a bagpiper, Irish Dancers, and a Guinness Toast, full pub menu, and authentic Irish tunes,” Celeste Kaplan with Mason Jar Group says.
The name, Grace O’Malley’s, apparently comes from Ireland’s Pirate Queen in the 16th century. The pub house is run by Stephen Galligan, a native of Ireland.
The menu features traditional Irish food with a local twist.
So, those looking to celebrate with the Irish this weekend can head over to 157 North Trade Street!
